According to legend, the Front Runner originated between an ’88 model Land Cruiser 70 and a ’92 Mercedes G-Wagen in Botswana, over a campfire next to a majestic Baobab tree in an area full of elephant trails.

A group of friends from South Africa with very different backgrounds – everything from engineers, designers, production and not least off-road racing were gathered on a trip. After several stories from all the different people around the campfire about their expeditions and accidents all over the globe, they decided to make expedition equipment that was smarter and stronger.

And just like that, just before the moon had to give way to the sun, Front Runner was born.
